How to Hard Reset your Motorola Q9h phone
If you are “playing” excessively with your Q, you need to know how to hard-reset you phone. While powered off, turn on the phone while holding the E and Z keys.
Then you get a clean Q and you can start to rebuild your config.

Thanks a million my phone had froze up during a reset then it powered down and wouldn’t power up. It would just show the at&t symbol the screen would flash as if it were attempting to come on but just freeze up over an over again. I called at&t service and was on hold for 20min. while waiting I googled my symptoms and this site came up. I did what you recomened and WALLAH!!!!! Problem solved… thanks again.

I can not thank you enough, my phone kept on turning on, then it goes of, and turns on again. unfortunately, I called AT&T and they are sending me a replacement because the phone is under warranty, and i do not know what i should do now.

Matthais all I can say is that you are awesome. My OS crashed yesterday and AT&T was no help at all (big surprise huh). They told me that I can either use an older phone or buy a new one. I called them back today to ask why I wasn’t told about the hard reset and the CS person had no idea what I was talking about. I’m still pissed that I lost a lot of great pics of my kids including a video of my oldest tying his shoe lace for the first time but I have a friend who’s resending it to me so it’s all good. Thanks again
